Futatsuka Tumulus (Futatsuka Kofun), appointed national historic spot
Futatsuka Tumulus is a keyhole-shaped tumulus made by utilizing the eastern slope of the Mountains of Katsuragi. It is 60 meters long and 10 meters high. There are stone rooms dug into the side of each hill, in front, back and the middle of the tumulus. It is very rare for one tumulus to have three stone rooms like this.
It is estimated to have been made in the mid - 6th century.
